Grand Master Augustus Peewee Blanco

Grand Master Augustus "Peewee" Blanco began karate in 1972 at the age of 8. He was promoted to Grand Master by the late Grand Master Blunt on June 24, 2004. He has competed in and won many tournaments throughout the United States. He has been rated by both the National Blackbelt League (NBL) and Southern Louisiana Association of Martial Arts (S.L.A.M.). He was a member of the Dream Team which won the USKA team sparring championship for three consecutive years. He also won the USKA men's middleweight sparring division championship for four consecutive years. Grand Master Blanco has been teaching martial arts since the age of 18 and has been an active participant in the sport for over 37 years. He was inducted into the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2001 as Master of the Year – Shotokan.

Adrienne Blanco

Business Manager

Adrienne Blanco is a CPA my trade but the original karate mom at heart. Mrs. Blanco has spent countless hours in the martial arts world, initially facilitating her son's training and achievement of a black belt. She currently spends time assisting her husband with the operations of the karate school, chairing the Parent Booster Club and coordinating team tournament travel.

Reuben Hogan


Sensei Reuben has been a student of Blanco Martial Arts Academy since 2006 and obtained the rank of black belt in December 2010. His dedication and consistent training has earned this prestigious rank. Sensei Reuben displays quiet leadership skills which does not go unnoticed by Sensei Peewee or his fellow classmates. Sensei Reuben is a student at Jesuit High School and an avid participant in their speech and debate team. He aspires to be a medical doctor which we have no doubt he will achieve.
